Pleasure yacht survey

Motor and sailing yachts, afloat and hauled out.

A yacht is bought on a sunny afternoon, and how she looks at the pontoon says little about what she is: what still works, what has been patched, what is missing, how she handles under way, and what is hidden below the waterline, where the hull keeps its secrets. A survey looks at all of it, afloat, hauled out and at sea, and reads the engines’ own records rather than anyone’s word. Where an engine needs opening up, we say so and name the specialist.

Nearly always it is the buyer who calls, before the money changes hands. Owners come too: for an independent report before the boat goes on the market, when the insurer asks, or after a grounding or a hard season. We do not haggle over the price. We put the boat as she really is on paper, and that is the strongest card at the table.

Before you buy, insure or sell her, have her looked at by someone with no stake in the sale. Ask us to survey her.
